Huawei Mate 9 renders leaks show 7 color options

Huawei is expected to launch the Mate 9 sometime in November; most likely on November 8. The device has been in news from quite some time for the leaks. Now seven renders of the Mate 9 has been leaked on Weibo. In the renders, the phone is shown in seven different colors - silver, gold, gray and brown, rose gold,pink and dark black.

The leaked pictures also confirm Leica made dual rear camera set up in the Mate 9. Huawei P9 was the first phone of the company to come with Leica made dual rear camera set. Huawei also recently joined hands with Leica for a new Research and Innovation Center in Germany. So we are expecting more Leica technology in upcoming Huawei devices. Coming back to Mate 9, the dual camera setup on the phone is expected to come with optical image stabilization (OIS), laser autofocus and analog zoom.

Huawei's Mate 9 could be the first device to be powered by HiSilicon's Kirin 960 SoC. The Kirin 960 chipset is said to consist of four Cortex-A73 cores and four low-power Cortex-A53 cores and it will be clocked at 2.6 GHz. The chip is also expected to be manufactured using the 16nm process and there is ARM Mali T880 GPU for graphics.

The Huawei Mate 9 was found on GFXBenchmarking website last month. As per the listing on GFXBench, the Huawei phone has a 5.9-inch that has full HD (1920x1080 pixels) resolution and 5 finger gesture support. Besides as per the listing, it has HiSilicon Hi3660 (Cortex A53) 2.6 GHz octa-core processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB of internal storage (out of which 52GB is reserved for the users), ARM Mali T880 GPU and Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.

Further, the phone is listed with 12-megapixel autofocus camera and an LED flash in its rear panel. There is an 8-megapixel camera in its front for selfies. The GFX listing shows that the device has connectivity features like Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and WiFi. As per the listing, the device has accelerometer, gyroscope, light sensor and proximity sensor as well. In the listing, there was no information about its expandable storage or battery capacity.

Moreover, the device is expected to come in four variants. The regular variant will come with 4GB RAM and in two internal storage choices of 64GB and 128GB. The 64GB variant is rumored to be priced at 3,399 Yuan and 128GB variant priced at 3,899 Yuan. The higher end variant with 6GB RAM and 256GB internal storage is expected to be priced at 4,699 Yuan. Lastly, the remaining variant will feature 6GB RAM and will sell with Huawei Watch at 7388 Yuan.
