Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017) surfaces with Android Marshmallow, 2GB RAM
Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017) which was recently spotted on Indian export import website Zauba, has now been spotted on GeekBench benchmarking website. The new Samsung phone comes with model number SM-J327V on GeekBench, same model number which was spotted on Zauba..
In the GeekBench listing, the Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017) got 654 points in single-core test and in muli-core test it received 1833 points. As per the listing on Geekbench, the Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017) has 2GB RAM and Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 1.40 GHz quad core processor. The handset is based on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system.
As per the earlier Zauba listing the Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017) showed a screen of 5 inch and a price tag of Rs 6,843. Sadly, apart from this, there's no other information of specs on Zauba. As per the listing, three units of Samsung SM-G5520 have been imported from South Korea to India for testing.
Earlier, the Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017) with model number SM-J3119 (reportedly for China) and SM-J3110 (reportedly for other international markets) were spotted on the website of Chinese certification agency TENAA.
As per the listing, both variants feature the same 5-inch AMOLED display. The SM-J3110 has 720 x 1280 pixels (HD) resolution, while the SM-J3119 comes with FHD (1080 x 1920 pixels) resolution. Other specs of both the variants are identical. Both are powered by 1.2 GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and expandable storage slot.
Both have 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 5 megapixel front camera and 2,600 mAh battery. The phones run on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system with ZUI 2.0 skin on top. Connectivity options include dual SIM, 4G-LTE, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS/A-GPS and a micro USB port.
Samsung had launched Samsung Galaxy J3 with S Bike mode at Rs 8,990 in India in March this year. To recall, the Samsung Galaxy J3 has a 5 inch HD display with Super AMOLED technology which claims to offer 100 more contrast and 40 per cent more colour than the TFT display. It has a 1.5 GHz quad core processor and 1.5 GB RAM. It comes with ultra data saving mode as well. The Galaxy J3 has an 8 megapixel rear camera and a 5 meagpixel front camera - both comes with f2.2 aperture. This smartphone is just 7.9 mm thin. Besides, the Android 5.1 Lollipop based Galaxy J3 has 8 GB internal storage, 128 GB micro SD card slot, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, Micro-USB port and a 2600mAh battery.

As announced earlier this month, Google has released Android 7.1 developer preview for select Google devices such as Nexus 6P. Nexus 5X and Pixel C tablet.
