Honor 5A with 4G VoLTE support, HD display, Android Marshmallow launched

As reported earlier, Huawei has launched its Honor 5A smartphone in China, yesterday (June 12). The smartphone is priced at 699 yuan for the normal version, 799 yuan for the China Unicom version/Telecom Edition, and 799 yuan for entire network version. The smartphone comes in black, white, blue and gold colors, and will be made available to customers from June 17th onwards.

The Honor 5A features a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display with pixel density of 267ppi and is armed with 1.2 GHz octa-core Kirin 620 processor and Mali 450 GPU. The smartphone comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be further expandable up-to 128GB via a microSD card. The Honor 5A runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with Emotion UI 4.1 on top of it.

The Honor 5A smartphone flaunts a 13-megapixel autofocus camera with LED Flash, and f/2.0 aperture on the back panel. On the front it has an 8-megapixel camera with BSI sensor, and f/2.0 aperture. The camera features offers Panorama, HDR, Full Focus, Continuous, watermark, audio Photo, and Digital zoom.

The smartphone gets its strength from a 3100mAh (typ)/3000mAh (min), which claims to offer talk-time of 28 hours and 260 hours of standby time. Besides, the smartphone offers Dual SIM (dual standby), 4G VoLTE, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/AGPS/Glonass, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. The handset measures 54.3×77.1×8.45mm and weighs around 168 grams (with battery).

The Oppo R9s is priced at 2799 Yuan (approximately Rs 27,680) while the R9s Plus comes at 3499 Yuan (approximately Rs 34,590). Both the smartphones have unibody metal design and come in Black, Gold and Rose Gold colour variants. The Oppo R9s will be available in China on October 28 while the Oppo R9s Plus on sale in December.
