Samsung Galaxy Wide unveiled with 5.5-inch display, 13MP camera

Samsung has reportedly announced a new smartphone - Galaxy Wide, in its home market South Korea today at $276 (319,000 Korean Won) or approximately Rs 18,625.

As per SamMobile, the device carries the model number SM-G600S and is believed to be an improved version of the Galaxy On7 as it has similar specifications as the Galaxy On7 (model number SM-G600). Reportedly, the Samsung Galaxy Wide will be available for purchase exclusively via SK Telecom later this month in white and black colors.

The Galaxy Wide comes with a 5.5 inch full HD capacitive touchscreen that has 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. The handset is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor coupled with 2GB RAM. It has Adreno 306 GPU, 16 GB internal memory and an expandable storage slot via micro sd card slot also. It comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with Samsung's TouchWiz UI on top.

The dual SIM based Galaxy Wide is backed by 3000 mAh battery. It has a 13-megapixel rear shooter with LED flash and f/2.1 aperture and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. For connectivity, this handset offers WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1, USB Type C, GPS + GLONASS, and 4G.

As of now, there is no information on whether Samsung will launch the Galaxy Wide in other countries as well.
