Google Maps Driving Mode Appears To Be Rolling Out Worldwide
Google Maps Navigation has existed for almost seven years (and it's still beta), but Driving Mode is new. This feature was added early this year, but it was only available in a few countries. Google Maps Driving Mode now seems to be expanding across the globe.
Driving Mode is a bit like navigation without a set destination. You get the top-down navigation view with the arrow representing your car, but you just drive wherever you want. Maps will suggest destinations on the screen based on your past navigation history, though. It's a handy interface to keep an eye on road closures and traffic.
We've been tipped about driving mode rolling out in the Netherlands and Australia. We've also checked, and found it to be available in Lebanon. You can check in your own country simply by looking for Driving Mode in the navigation menu.

As announced earlier this month, Google has released Android 7.1 developer preview for select Google devices such as Nexus 6P. Nexus 5X and Pixel C tablet. Further, Google has also confirmed that other promised devices will also receive the developer preview soon though the company didn't reveal any timeline.

Oppo has announced the launch of Oppo R9s and R9s Plus at an event in China yesterday. The Oppo R9s is priced at 2799 Yuan (approximately Rs 27,680) while the R9s Plus comes at 3499 Yuan (approximately Rs 34,590). Both the smartphones have unibody metal design and come in Black, Gold and Rose Gold colour variants. The Oppo R9s will be available in China on October 28 while the Oppo R9s Plus on sale in December.
